A CONSORTIUM FOR WRITERS & CULTURAL ENTHUSIASTS
Another America has been a haven for new and established writers since the advent of the new millennium. In 2018 we transitioned from a .org to a .net and extended our reach to divers avenues of the cultural spectrum. Along with literature (both established and contemporary) the site also pursues the fine arts of painting, sculpture, music, dance, and photography (hundreds of videos are collected in the World of Culture collections on the left side of the site). Historical collections of art are featured in the Museum of the Month offering which is situated a simple scroll down from this introduction. Collections concerning American Film, Film Music, Classical Music and Rock & Royalty are presented in hundreds of videos in a still lower portion of the site.
Our editors have collected a library of select treasures. These include videos of complete ballets from the 1970s and the popular manifests of Sinatra, Elvis and the Beatles.
Our readers are invited to submit essays, videos & photos of those that they, as well, pursue and have found illuminating. Some of these will appear as Posts on the site’s blog. Others will be deposited across the site’s platform or in the site’s Vault for safe and surprise keeping. Still others will be featured in the spot beneath the current month listed immediately below:

A BOWL OF ROSE LEAVES:
Ferguson, Eliot, Gardner
I believe the idea of a “creation” or a “beginning” makes no sense at all.
I believe existence has always existed…all of it.
It changes constantly but Being itself has always been.
And that leads me to my most radical thought of all…
The thought that is most difficult of all:
Nothing at any given moment can be other than what it is.
J. Ferguson
If all time is eternally present
All time is unredeemable
What might have been is an abstraction
Remaining a perpetual possibly
Only in a world of speculation.
What might have been and what has been
Point to one end which is always present.
T.S. Eliot
There is only one experience;
It involves neither time nor space
But subsumes them both and anything that is defined by either.
Any isolate
—any of the things or properties that we abstract from the world—
Can be both affirmed or denied
And remain as idlily speculative as one might otherwise suppose.
If the universe is a singularity
Then anything within it is the same as everything within it,
The content of thought is the source of its own contemplation.
M.C. Gardner
